SUPPORTING WOMEN WITH CANCER
The “Athena” was formed in 2017 as a mutual support Facebook group for female cancer patients. Today it is the largest community of patients with oncological diagnoses in Ukraine, a member of the most powerful patient organization “Patients of Ukraine” and an active participant in reforming and development of the health care system and its standards.

The aim of the organization is to ensure that women with cancer have access to medicines and medical services by means of:
- support of public procurement of Chemotherapy, radiopharmaceuticals and accompanying drugs;
- Requests, provision and distribution of humanitarian aid;
- Monitors delivery of medicines to medical institutions, including humanitarian aid;
- Public control of quality standards of medical care provided to patients with oncological diseases in Ukraine;
- Information support regarding available medical treatment and assistance, counseling and routing of patients.
