SUPPORTING HIV-POSITIVE WOMEN

Established in 2011 the charity organization “Positive Women” represents the national community of women living with HIV. It unites members from all regions of Ukraine who advocate for the rights of women, in particular those either living with HIV or vulnerable to HIV infection. The organization has own offices in Rivne, Dnipro, Cherkasy, as well as regional representatives in 20 regions of the country.

«Positive women»

The “Positive Women” works to create conditions for the development and self-realization of women vulnerable to HIV by means of unification of women’s initiatives, support for leadership and change in public opinion. The organization creates a safe space for women living with HIV and provides them with the necessary resources.

Recently activities of the charity organization have expanded to support children who suffered from the war and refugees. Temporary shelters in Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi and Cherkasy regions were arranged. The “Positive Women” provides women and children with daily essentials, psychological support, both individual and in groups, treatment consultations by regional coordinators and legal advise, including recovery of documents, social benefits applications and general protection of rights.
